Loewen, Paul James Paul James Loewen, 75 of Florence, died Jan 27, 2002, at St Luke Hospital in Marion. Paul James Loewen was born in Los Angles, Calif., on April 6, 1926 and moved to rural Hillsboro to the Ebenfield community at the age of two years. On June 12, 1949 he married Darlene Davis in Hillsboro. She preceded him in death on Sept 22, 1984. He began Loewen Ditching and Excavating in 1953. The family moved to Florence in 1962. He retired as a truck driver from Associatd Milk Producers, Inc in 1988.
Preceding him in death were his parents Jacob D and Lydia Hadel Loewen, and step-brother Arthur E Loewen.
Survivors include: daughters, Paulette Zook and Janette Parmley, Florence, and Mashawn Weber, Cedar Point; granddaughter, Rebekah Zook; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were Jan. 30, 2002, at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody. The Reverend Steve Hysom of Trinity United Methodist church of El Dorado officiated. Interment was at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. A memorial has been established with the Florence volunteer Fire Department. <
