Longshore, Lila F

Lila F Longshore, 69, died Feb 01, 2002, in an automobile-pedestrian accident in Valdosta, Ga. A funeral service was conducted Feb 9, 2002, in Valdosta. A graveside service was conducted Feb 13, 2002, in Strong City Cemetery.

She was born Aug 11, 1932 in Cottonwood Falls to John Henry and Drucilda Parlee Cortee Longshore. She had lived in Valdosta for years. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Second Ward and the Navy Relief Society, both of Valdosta.

She is survived by a daughter, Tracy Holowka, Fayetteville, NC.; a son, Brian Forbes, Malpitas, Calif.; three sisters Lela Rhodes, Gillette, Wyo., Violet Phillips, Eugene, Ore. and Jewel Brown, Osage City; two brothers, David Longshore, Wakarusa and Paul Longshore, Salisbury, Md.; and three grandchildren. Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls is in charge of local arrangements.
