Mackey, Frieda M Reber

Frieda M. Mackey, 91, of Madison died Friday, June 21, 2002, at the Madison Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Mackey was a homemaker.

Frieda M. Reber, the daughter of John and Marie H. Reber, was born Nov. 29, 1910, at Hartford. She married Robert H. "Kirby" Mackey on Nov. 12, 1930, at Matfield Green. She moved from Virgil to the Madison community in 1981 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madison.

She is survived by two sons, Robert W. Mackey of Derby and Darrell L. Mackey of Nebraska; two daughters, Darlene Weatherly of Prescott, Ariz., and Beverly Rozell of Cannon City, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. One brother and one sister died earlier.

The funeral was June 25, 2002 in the Wilson Funeral Home in Madison. The Rev. Rob Robison conducted the service. Burial was in Blakely Cemetery, northwest of Madison. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Madison Manor Nursing Home and sent in care of the funeral home, P O Box 488, Madison Ks 66860.
