Madden, Harry

H MADDEN DIES IN FRANCE

News of the death of Corp. Harry Madden, a former Chase County boy who has been fighting with the Seventh Infantry over in France, has been received by his parents, Judge and Mrs. Dennis Madden.
Corporal Madden was born in the city and had spent the most of his life in this and Lyon counties. He was 29 years of age and went with the first draft contingent of October, 1917. He was later put in the Head-quarters Company of the Seventh Infantry.

The message telling of his death stated that he died of wounds received in action. His father, Judge Dennis Madden, was former Judge of the 5th Judical District and a former attorney of this city.
