Martin, James B

OBITUARY OF JAMES B. MARTIN

James B. Martin, of Cedar Point, whose death occured February 7th., at Florence, was born July 20th., 1887, in Plymouth County, Iowa. He, with his parents, came to Linn county, Kansas, in 1895. Linn county remained his home until he grew to manhood. He engaged in railroad work and later moved to Bucklin, Kansas.

On Oct. 9th, 1908 he was united in marriage to Miss Alice Parker and two children were born to this union, Lelia May and James Kenneth. While still in Bucklin, Mr. Martin engaged in the barber business.

Later the family moved to Anthony and then to Wichita and last fall he came to Clements where he opened a shop. Mrs. Martin, at the same time, opened a beauty shop in Florence. Mr. Martin was 43 years of age.
