McDonald, Elizabeth Mrs. Matt McDonald Passes At Houston
The Funeral Services for Former
Strong City Resident Held
Wednesday.
Mrs. Elizabeth McDonald, a resident of Strong City for more than 15 years, died Monday morning at 7:30 o'clock at the home of her son, C. M. McDonald, of Houston, Tex., after a long sickness.
Funeral services for Mrs. McDonald were held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at St. Anthony's church in Strong City and interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Father Disselkamp conducted the services.
Mrs. McDonald came to Strong City in 1879 and had lived here until about two years ago when she went to Houston to make her home with her son. She was born March 27, 1861, in Covington, Va. She was married to Matthew McDonald in Strong City. Mr. McDonald died December 15, 1920.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. J. W. Carby of Kansas City, Mo.; C. M. McDonald of Houston, Tex., and Edwin McDonald of Strong City. Two sisters, Sister M. Fedalis of Kansas City and Mrs. Margaret Senior of Chicago, also survive her.
Relatives here for the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. C. M. McDonald of Houston, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. George McDonald of Dalhart, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Carby and Sister Fedalis of Kansas City and Mrs. Louise Hennings of Hutchinson.
