Miller, Henry E

DEATH OF HENRY E. MILLER

Henry E. Miller, who has been marshall of Matfield Green for the past year, died at his home in that place Friday, July 11th, following a long illness with cancer.

The funeral services were held from the Matfield Green Methodist church at 10:00 o'clock Saturday morning with Rev. Cook, the Methodist pastor preaching the sermon. Interment was in the Matfield Green cemetery.

Henry Miller was the son of Albert and Minerva Miller. He was born in Fredonia, Kansas, September 17th, 1879. He was united in marriage to Miss Alice Caswell, of Keokuk, Iowa, Dec. 24th, 1925.

Mr. and Mrs. Miller came to Matfield Green three and one-half years ago. He worked for some time, on the Crocker farm then, when his health began to fail, they moved to Matfield Green, where he was appointed marshal.

During the time they have lived in this county Mr. and Mrs. Miller had made many friends and acquaintences and these now extend to the bereaved widow their heart-felt sympathy.
