Monroe, Ida A Mrs. Ida A Monroe was born at Vernon, Iowa, March 18, 1867 and died at Cottonwood Falls, Kansas on November 2, 1918, aged 51 years, 7 months, and 15 days.
She was married to George Washington Monroe in Keosauqua, Ia. on October 13, 1884. To this union, eight children were born all of whom survive her.
Three brothers and one sister are also left to mourn her departure. The husband and children will miss her most for she lived and labored for her own home and was an ideal wife and mother. Her life was given without a thought of self to her children and her home. Such mothers are the kind that rule the world and make possible a better day for humanity. She joined the Methodist church when but a girl and was a faithful member all her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
