Montgomery, Drew R Drew R Montgomery, Rt 4, a retired famer and a resident of the Emporia area since 1926, died
Wednesday night in St. Mary's hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Saturday in the Blair
Colonial Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev.
J. Joyce Wilson, Pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Members of the family have suggested memorial contributions
to the Cancer Fund.
Mr. Montgomery, whose parents were the late John and Margaret Gray Montgomery, was born May 13, 1892, in Strong City. He was graduated from
the Chase County High School and attended Kansas State University.
He was married to Ina Brown on May 11, 1913, in Topeka, and had lived in the Madison community for a brief period before 1926.
Mr. Montgomery
was proceeded in death by two
brothers, Harry and John, and
four sisters, Elizabeth Stewart
and Agnes, Katherine and Margaret Montgomery. He is survived by his wife of the home;
one son, Duncan, of Rt. 4., one
daughter. Dr. Evelyn Montgomery, Lubbock, Tex.; one brother,
James A, Montgomery, Blackie,
Alta., Can., and three grandchildren.
