Moore, Johnny Rae

Johnny Rae Moore, 58, died March 24, 2003, at Colmery- O'Neil Veterans Administration Medical Center in Topeka.

Johnny Rae Moore, the son of John Wesley and Marie Leach Moore, was born March 26, 1944, at Coffeyville.:,He married Barbara Foster on Jan. 4, 1963, in Dearing. He worked for Cessna in Independence and was a security guard for Wells Fargo. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the National Rifleman Association and a lifetime member of the Handyman Club.

He is survived by his wife; a son Johnny Ray Moore of Joplin, Mo.; three daughters, Deborah -Bower of Cottonwood Falls, Teresa Rogers of Coffeyville and Angela Dyer of South Coffeyville, Okla.; his mother, a brother, Dannie Moore and sister, Linda Johnston, all of Springfield, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. His father died earlier.

The funeral service was March 29, 2003, at the Chase County All Veterans Memorial in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. John Hastings of Strong City United, Methodist Church conducted the service. The Fort Riley Honor Guard conducted military honors.
