Moore, Kenneth Marlin

Kenneth Marlin Moore, 84, a resident of the Horizon Plaza in Emporia, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at the Veterans' Administration hospital in Wichita.

The son of Lanious Wilson and Essie Ann Lester Moore, he was born July 12, 1920, in Strong City. He married Katy Shull. She died earlier. Mr. Moore worked for Santa Fe Railroad before he retired. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Moore is survived by a sister, Ila Blenkinsop of Valley Center, and a brother, Herbert Moore of Crawford, Colo. A son, Marlin Moore, died earlier, as did a sister, Doris Hicks, and three brothers, Melvin Moore,Oscar Moore and Paul Moore. Mr Moore has been cremated. No services are planned.

The family suggests that, instead of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to VFW Post 1980, 932 Graphic Arts Road, Emporia, KS 66801. Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center has the arrangements.
