Mowrey, Harve
DEATH OF HARVE MOWREY
News of the death of Harve Mowrey at his home in Caldwell, Idaho, was received here Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Allen, which will bring regret to many of this county who were intimately acquainted with the family when the Mowreys lived here. Mrs. Mowrey, before her marriage, was Miss Grace Brown and, is a sister of Mrs T. G. Allen.
The Mowreys for many years lived in the Homestead vicinity and owned the farm now belonging to John Keevan on Coon Creek south of Clements.
Mr. Mowrey's death occured December 29th, following an illness of a number of weeks. He is survived by his widow and three children, Warren Mowrey, who was engaged in business at Caldwell with his father, Mrs. Ira Christy, of Caldwell Idaho, and Mrs. Lawrence Bain, of Cedar City, Utah.
Mr. Mowrey was about 76 years of age. He came to Chase county about 1885 and located on Coon creek. He was married soon after to Miss Grace Brown and they lived in the Homestead vicinity until about fifteen years ago, when they moved to Idaho. For a number of years Mr. Mowrey and his son, Warren, have been engaged in the garage and gasoline business.
Mr. Mowrey was one of the trustees of the Chase County High School soon after the organizing of the school.
