Murphy, Lottie Estelle Strail Sad and Sudden Death of Mrs. John Murphy
On Friday afternoon, the 23rd, the friends of Mrs. J A Murphy, (nee Lottie Estelle Strail), were startled to hear of her sudden death, at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M P Strail, in this city.
That she was dangerously ill was a fact known to few besides her physician and family. Her illness, while in a dangerous stage, was comparatively painless, and even the patient did not realize her condition. Her decease was so sudden as to startle the family with terror as well as grief. Mrs. Murphy was not quite 19 years of age, and was married February 25, 1884, to John A Murphy, of Rock creek, an exemplary young man, and her future was a bright one.
She leaves a babe but two weeks old. She had many friends in this city, having resided here since 1873. As a girl she had been very popular with her associates and leaves many to mourn her loss. A member of a large family, she had been a good daughter, and was beloved by sisters and brothers.
Her short life ended without pain that comes to those who number many years, but to husband, parents, and friends little can bring comfort. But the Heavenly Father knowth all things and in his wisdom he has taken the dear one to his bosom, where she will know neither care nor sorrow.
