Norton, William Thomas
William Thomas Norton, 76, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Administration Center in Bonham, Texas.
The son of Henry and Catherine Marie Austin Norton, he was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Cottonwood Falls.
He grew up on the Norton Ranch. He served in the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and 1952.
Mr. Norton worked on
the Alaska Pipeline for 10 years and lived in Fairbanks, Alaska. He spent most of his life at Tablerock Lake.
Mr. Norton is survived by five sons, William Thomas Norton of Plano, Texas, Daniel J. Norton of Broken Arrow, Okla., Randy H. Norton and Whitney B. Norton both of Allen, Texas, and Scott A. Norton of Slidell, La.; 12 grandchildren; and his for
mer wife, Esther Wiebe of Plano, Texas.
The burial service was Feb. 26, 2004, in Bazaar Cemetery, Bazaar. The Rev. Pat Ireland of the First Presbyterian Church in Cottonwood Falls conducted the service. Arrangements conducted
by Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls.
