Oldham, George Larry

George Larry Oldham, 65, of Americus died Aug. 18, 2003, at Via Christi-St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita. Mr. Oldham was a self- employed trucker for 40 years before he retired. He had served in the Kansas National Guard.

George Larry Oldham, the son of George A. and Pansy C. Ingalls Oldham, was born July 4, 1938, in Cottonwood Falls. He married Vonda Morgan in 1959, in Bennett Springs, Mo. She and their son, Eddie Oldham, died in a car accident near Strong City in 1961. He married Wilma Gilmore on May 20, 1979. She survives.

Mr. Oldham is also survived by a son, George H. Oldham of Hartville, Mo.; two stepsons, Mike Hale of Americus and Allen Adkins of Joplin, Mo.; two step- daughters, Kelly Adkins of Springfield, Mo. and Laura Adkins of Fremont, Calif.; his mother of Buffalo, Mo.; a brother Lee Oldham of Halfway, Mo.; nine grand- children; and four great- grandchildren.

His father and a step- grandson died earlier. No services are planned.
