Parsons, J B Diller J.B. Diller Parsons, 91, died Feb. 26, 2006, at Good Samaritan Center in Hutchinson. He was a Hutchinson resident the past six years, moving from Cottonwood Falls.
The son of
Phillip H. and
Melinda Diller
Parsons, he was
born Oct. 24, 1914, at Cassoday. He graduated from Cassoday High School. He married Etta M. Craig July 23, 1946, at Fallon, Nev. She died Jan. 9, 2003.
He was a farmer/rancher before going to work for the Atchinson, Topeka, Santa
Fe Railroad as a Signal Maintainer, retiring on Oct. 31, 1979. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in World War II.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado and the Brotherhood of Railroad Signal Men, Local 33.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen Rippert of Hutchinson; step-sons, Herbert Spain Jr. of Strong City and John Spain of Arizona; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild;
10 step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and four step-greatgreat-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Lois Bone; and two sisters, Leah Ayers and Roberta Brandley.

The graveside service was Wednesday, March 1, at Cassoday Cemetery with. Rev. Kim Biery Officiating. Graveside Honors were presented by the United States Marine Corps.
