Mary F. Peck, 84, died Friday in the Chase County Nursing Center. She was a lifetime resident of Chase County and for many years had been a telephone operator and a school cook.
The graveside service will be at 11 am. Monday in the Matfield Green Cemetery. The Rev. Dallas Evans will conduct the service. Friends may call at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls after 9 a.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions to the Matfield Green Community Church may be sent to Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls, which is in charge of arrangements.
Mary F. McCracken, the daughter of Henry and Laura Geer McCracken, was born December 25, 1907, in Bazaar. She married Reynold Peck on Jan. 6, 1926, in El Dorado. He died July 1, 1975. Two sons, Loren G. Peck and Richard R. Peck, Sr., also died earlier. She is survived by three grandsons, Larry G. Peck of Wichita, Douglas A. Peck and Richard A. Peck Jr., both of Emporia; two granddaughters, Karen G. Witten of Vine Grove, Ky., and Mari L. Hefley of Wichita; and nine great grandchildren.

"Peck Mary M., 66, Retired Telephone Operator, Cook -- Graveside funeral services for Mary M. Peck, 66, were held Monday, April 13, in the Matfield Green Cemetery. The Rev. Dallas Evans officiated. Mary M. Peck was born December 25, 1907 in Bazaar, Kansas, to Henry McCracken and Laura Geer McCracken. She died Friday, April 10, 1992, at the Chase County Nursing Center in Cottonwood Falls.
Mary M. McCracken married Reynold Peck on January 6, 1926, in El Dorado. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1975. Mrs. Peck was a telephone operator and a school cook for many years. She was a member of the Matfield Community Church in Matfield Green.
She is survived by three grandsons, Larry G. Peck of Wichita, Douglas A. Peck of Emporia, and Richard R Peck of Emporia; and two granddaughters, Karen G. Witten of Vine Grove, Kentucky and Mari L. Hefley of Wichita. She also leaves nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Loren G. Peck and Richard R. Peck, Sr. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Matfield Community Church in care of the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home which was in charge
of arrangements.
