Pinkston, Lucille Lucille Imogene Carrier
Pinkston, 84, died Feb. 21,
2005, at Branson, Mo.
She was born on Jan. 1,
1921, to Charles and Cora
Kelly Carver at Wichita.
She graduated from East
High School in Wichita.
She married Alfred
"Chub" Pinkston on March
26, 1940, in Wichita. They
moved from Wichita to
Cedar Point in 1951.
She cared for her invalid
mother for 30 years at their
Cedar Point home. She was
the Post Master at the
Cedar Point Post Office for
many years and partnered
with her husband on the
farm and buying cattle.
She was a member of the
Cedar Point, Methodist
Church
The Pinkstons retired to
Branson, Mo., in 1992.
She is survived by two
sons, Gary L. Pinkston of
Belvedere, Calif, and
Thomas L. Pinkston of
Branson, Mo.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in
death by her mother, a
brother, Charles Carrier,
and a great-granddaughter
Visitors may come to the
viewing on Wednesday,
Feb. 23, from 5-6:30 p.m. at
Brown Bennett Alexander
Funeral Home, Cottonwood
Falls.
Services will be held on
Thursday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m.
in the Cedar Point
Methodist Church. Burial
will be at the Cedar Point
Cemetery following the
services. A reception will
follow at the church.
