Remschner, Janet Jo
Janet Jo Remschner, 66, of Antlers, Okla., died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004.
Janet, the daughter of Gus and Ida Piper Carpenter, was born May 13, 1937, at Cedar Point.
She married Ronald Remschner Feb. 17, 1979, in El Dorado. They moved to Darwin Community where Janet was employed
as a bookkeeper for the
Rural Water District #3.
She was a longtime mem-
ber of Darwin Baptist
Church.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Bonnie Hughes of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Callie Remschner of Garden City; three brothers, Gus Carpenter Jr. of
Piedmont, Gerald Carpenter of Cedar Point and Richard Carpenter of Wichita; four sisters, Juanita Pierce of Newton, Yvonne Allen of Cedar Point, Cleta Scott of Cottonwood Falls and
Anna Starns of Alamo, Texas; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Morris G. Carpenter.
The funeral service was Feb. 11 at the Darwin Baptist Church, Darwin Community, Okla. with Reverend David Boutwell officiating. Services were under the direction of Mills and Coffey Funeral Home, Antlers, Okla. 74523.
