Richards, Shirley H Shirley H. Richards, 92,
died Sept. 8, 2002, at Salem
Nursing Home, Hillsboro.
He was born May 2, 1910, in
Marion, the son of John and
Emma Zoe Fishburn Richards.
He was superintendent of
Riddle Quarry. He retired in
1972 to become a farmer and
horse trader.
He married Hattie Schmidt
on June 6, 1932 at Marion. She
died in 1989.
Mr. Richards is survived by
two sons, Dennis Richards of
Woodland Park, Colo. and
Gerald Richards of Houston,
Texas; a daughter, Judith
Hiebert of Hillsboro; nine
grandchildren; and four great
grandchildren.
The Memorial Service will
be Sept. 12, 2002, at 2:00 p.m.
at Zeiner Funeral Hrame in
Marion. The service will be
conducted by family members.
Inurnment will be at Marion
Cemetery, Marion.
