Rosebraugh, Carl J Carl J Rosebraugh, 74, of Rosalia, died Sept. 28, 2001, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Services were held Oct. 1, 2001, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Interment followed in Homestead Cemetery.
He was born May 15, 1927, at Cottonwood Falls, the son of Roy Spencer and Bertha Linda (Courtright) Rosebraugh. He had lived in this area since 1953, and was an Electrician and pipefitter at Skelly-Getty Refinery. He also owned and operated the Old Hat Cafe in Rosalia for a number of years. He was a member of the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union and a former member of the Rosalia Lions Club.
On April 7, 1949, he married Elva Mae Trussell at Florence. He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Dale Rosebraugh of El Dorado; a brother, Chester Rosebraugh, Augusta; two sisters, Viola Isom, El Dorado and Lois Slabaugh, Newton; two grandchildren; a step-grandson; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Memorials in his memory for either the Rosalia Community Building or Homestead Cemetery may be left at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.
