Russell R Rowe, 86, died Sunday Nov 19, 2006, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St Francis Carnpus in 'Wichita

Russell Ray Rowe, the son of Charles Henry and Flossie Keech Rowe, was born Jun 23, 1920, at Willard. He served in the United Stales Navy during World War He was a computer repair and maintenance specialist for the IBM computer company and was an instructor with IBM in New York City After retirement from IBM, he owned and operated his own computer repair shop in Florida

He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

He is survived by three brothers, Lawrence "Larry" Carl Rowe of Phoenix, Arizona; Kenneth Roger Rowe Of Salina and Ronald Duane Rowe of Strong City, two sisters, Virginia Lon Reed of Palm Springs, Calif and Delores Ann McNamara of Reading, California.

He was preceded in death by five brothers. Forrest James Rowe, Charles Virgil Rowe, Richard Arlon Rowe, Vernon Everett Rowe and John Dale Rowe; and a sister, Velma Lorraine Hassenbank.

A military graveside service was held Thursday, Nov 20. at the Valley View Memorial Gardens east of Manhattan, Kansas, with Celebrant Susan Alexander. Military honors were conducted by a Fort Riley Honor Guard.
