Simpson, Phyllis Nadine Barbour
Phyllis Nadine Simpson, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in
Cottonwood Falls.
The daughter of William and Martha Ellen Aldridge Barbour, she was born Nov. 17, 1920, at South Haven.
She married Jess Howard Simpson on Feb. 5, 1942, at Greensburg. He survives. Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker.
She is also survived by three sons, Donald W. Simpson and Steven L. Simpson, both of Strong City, and Howard L. Simpson Jr. of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Barbara Ann Sigler of Diamond Creek near Burdick and Elizabeth Ellen Welch of Buffalo; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth Barbour, Ralph Barbour, Lawrence Barbour, Ray Barbour and William Earl Barbour; and four sisters, Lucy Coffman, Ruth Scott, Cynthia Barbour and Irene Barbour.
The private family service will be held at a later date.
