Steward, Elma Estelle Evans Elma Estelle Evans Steward, of North Little Rock, Ark., 91, died July 12, 2005.
She received her R.N. degree and worked as a family practice nurse, and then for the American Red Cross. She moved to North Little Rock in 1945 with her husband, Randall William Steward, and opened a business.
Elma, the daughter of Del Evans and Sabre Wilhite Evans, was born Aug. 8, 1913, in Chase County.
She is survived by a son, William Randall Steward; a daughter, Jeannie Elizabeth Paschall, of Dallas; a brother, Don Evans of Cottonwood Falls; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Paul Evans; and a sister, Gene McCallum.
A Graveside service was held July 14, 2005, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills,
North Little Rock, with Reverend Don Nolley and Reverend Mary Hoey officiating. There was a Memorial service at the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock on July 21, 2005.
