Stonecipher, Lorin Raleigh
Lorin R. Stonecipher, 72,
of Elmdale, died Aug. 3,
2003, at the Chase County
Health and Rehabilitation
Center, Cottonwood Falls.
Lorin Raleigh
Stonecipher, the son of
Raleigh and Eva Shepaul
Stonecipher, was born Oct.
3, 1930, at Independence.
He was a mail carrier for
the U.S. Postal Service for
16 years, retiring in 1974.
He served in the U.S. Army
during the Korean War. He
was married to Margaret
Zager who died in 1980.
He is survived by three
sons, Donald Stonecipher,
Daniel Stonecipher and
Michael Stonecipher, all of
Houston, Texas; two brothers, Darrell Stonecipher of
Liberty; and Sam
Stonecipher of
Independence.
He was preceded in
death by a son, Mark
Stonecipher; his mother,
Eva Hatfield; and a brother, Vernon Stonecipher.
Family services will be
held at a later date.
