Stubenhofer, Fannie Ida

Passes In Hospital
Aged Resident Had Not Been Well For A Number Of Years.
Services To Be Thursday.
Mrs. Fannie Stubenhofer died
in the St. Mary's Hospital in Emporia Monday evening at 8:00 o'clock. She had not been well for some time and her condition became grave five weeks ago at which time she was taken to the hospital. She did not respond to treatment and remained there until her death.
The funenal services will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 o'clock, at the St. Anthony's Church in Strong City with Rev. Father Edw. J. Albers in charge. Interment will be in the Catholic cemetery.
Fannie Ida Cahoone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Cahoone, was born March 25 1867, Southeast of Cottonwood Falls. She has lived
her entire life in Chase County
and was one of the counties
oldest pioneer residents.
She was married November 5, 1889 to John Stubenhofer at Strong City, To this union were born two children. A son, Paul Stubenhofer west of Strong City, survives her and with whom she had made her home for the past four years, and a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Gamer, preceded her in death about 23 years ago. Mr. Stubenhofer passed away in Ocbober, 1933. Besides her son Mrs. Stubenhofer is survived by one brother, Fred Cahoone of Strong City and one granddaughter Paula Jean Stubenhofer.
