Stubenhofer, Ida Rosie Ida Stubenhofer
Rites Are Friday
Mrs. William (Ida Rosie) Stubenhofer, 84. of Cottonwood Falls, died Tuesday in St Mary's Hospital, Emporia, following a long illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p. m. Friday in the Croy Funeral Home. Pastor Bruce Meissner of Grace Lutheran Church, Strong City, will officiate. The pallbearers are Keith Hynson, Gene Hynson, Edwin Childs, James Cahoone, John Rufener and Alan Passmore. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Stubenhofer was born September 9, 1885, at Highland, Illinois. the daughter of Christian and Maria Speck Kaufman. She came to Chase County with her family in 1894, and was married to Mr Stuhenhofer on June 27, 1906, at Strong City. They had made their home on a farm west of Strong City until Mr. Stubenhofer's death November 26, 1941, after which she moved here. She had attended the Lutheran Church.
Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Esther Hynson, Cottonwood Falls; two grandsons, Gene Hynson, Topeka, and Keith Hynson, Cottonwood Falls, and eight great grandchildren, Besides her parents and husband, she was preceeded in death by two sisters, Bertha, a twin, and Eliza Kaufman, and two brothers, Christian and L, M. Kaufman.
