Sutton, Francis Eugene Former Emporian Francis Eugene Sutton, 75, of
Spearman, Texas, died Nov. 22,
2002, at a San Antonio, Texas,
hospital of injuries suffered in
an accident. Mr. Sutton was
struck by a motorcycle while
crossing a road in Kerrville,
Texas. Mr. Sutton was employed by
Panhandle Eastern Pipeline
for 35 years and worked at
Olpe and several towns in
Oklahoma and Texas. He was
a Marine Corps veteran of
World War II.
Francis Eugene Sutton, the son of Joseph and Genevieve
Sutton, was born June 11,
1927, in Hartford. He attended
Emporia public schools. His wife, the former Beverly Main, died April 29, 2001.
Mr. Sutton was a member of
the First Baptist Church in
Canadian, Texas. He is survived by a brother, Milo Sutton of Hermosa
Beach, Calif.; two daughters,
Linda Folley of Canadian and
Rhonda Short of Amarillo,
Texas; five grandchildren; and
six great-grandchildren.
The memorial service was
held Nov. 26 in the First
Baptist Church at Spearman.
Inurnment was in Hanford
