Tarrant, Bonnie Bea

Bonnie Bea Tarrant, 75, a resident of the Emporia Rehabilitation Center, died July 5, 2002, at the center. Miss Tarrant, a registered nurse, worked 20 years at Newman Regional Health and 20 years at the Emporia State University Health Center.

Bonnie Bea Tarrant, the daughter of Andrew and Laura Fent Tarrant, was born Jan. 1, 1927, at Matfield Green. Miss Tarrant was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a brother, Howard Tarrant of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Laura Dean Jones of Overland Park; and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Faith Voorhis and Constance Rettig, died earlier.

The funeral was Wednesday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Darby of the First United Methodist Church conducted the service. The graveside service was in Matfield Green Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Emporia Rehabilitation Center and sent in care of the funeral home.
