Titus, Doris Arlene Link

Doris A. Titus, 81, died March 20, 2003, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia. A Celebration of Her Life service was held March, 24, 2003, at the United Methodist Church in Cottonwood Falls with the Rev. Melody Kimbrel officiat- ing. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery, Toledo Township.

Doris Arlene Link, the daughter of Walter Lee and Ruth Irene Garrison Link, was born March 11, 1922, at Little River. She attended school in Little River. She married Alfred Titus on May 24, 1941, at Little River. They were divorced.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cottonwood Falls and the Coffee Club in Chase County. She had been a book- keeper for a feed store in Little River, was a sewing leader for the 4-H club in the Chalk Community for many years, was a farmer/homemaker, and later was a Certified Nurses' Aide at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls.

She is survived by three daughters, Beth Ann Short of Emporia, Terry Lee Colvin of Garland, Texas, and Jo Bea Titus of Council Grove; one brother, William Link of Green Valley, Ariz.; one sister, Bonnie Rashleigh of Freemont, Neb.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Warren Link and one sister, Mary Miller.

Memorial contributions to the Flint Hills Humane Society or to the Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church may be sent in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, Kan. 66847.
