Vorhees, Emma
Funeral services for Miss Emma Vorhees were held at the M. E. church, Tuesday, March 29. The Rev. J. M. Hodgkins presided at the service. Interment was made in the Casoday cemetery.
Miss Vorhees died Sunday evening, March 27, at the age of 49 years, 7 months, 1 day. She had been ill for a number of months, but her condition did not become critical until after her return from Bethany Hospital.
She united with the Methodist church a number of years ago, and has remained a faithful member ever since.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. E. J. Underwood, one brother, David Vorhees, and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Dollkey, Mrs. Sadie Carver, and Mrs. Anna Blackmore.
