Wagoner, Henry
Henry Wagoner died at his home southeast of Matfield Green at 6:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Dec, 27th. Mr. Wagoner's death was not unexpected as his condition had been critical for the week previous to his death.
The funeral service was held Monday afternoon at the Matfield Green church, Rev. Frank Porter of this city preaching the sermon. Interment was in the Matfield Green cemetery.
Mr. Wagoner, who was one of the oldest settlers of the south part of the county, was probably more widely known in that vicinity than any other man. Mrs. Wagoner died, several years ago. Mr. Wagoer is survived by nine children: William, Ray, Cay, Ed, Mrs. Grace Hamilton, Mrs. Stella Johnson, Fred and Frank of this county, and Mrs. Maggie Pracht of Wichita.
Mr. Wagoner was in his 75th year and would have been 76 years of age on the 5th day of next February having been born in February, 1849.
