Watson, Steve Mrs
TWO KILLED BY FREIGHT TRAIN AT ELMDALE
Mrs. J. D. Johnson and Mrs. Steve Watson of Elmdale were instantly killed about 8:30 Friday night by a freight train, number 30, at the depot crossing at the west end of Elmdale.
The old ladies were coming from their home west of the station into town and had to cross the track. In crossing the track they did not go down to the regular crossing but had come across the foot bridge a few yards east which led them directly to the west end of the station and they then were crossing the track diagonally toward the hotel on the main street when the train hit them.
Mrs. Johnson was 64 years old and Mrs. Watson, 70 years of age. They made their home together there. Both were old residents of the west end of the county.
