Pauline Weaver, 81, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in Cottonwood Falls.Services are pending at the Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. A complete obituary will be published in next week�s Chase County Leader-News.

Pauline Weaver, 81, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in Cottonwood Falls.
The daughter of Ralph and Nellie Parrish Bixler, Pauline was born June 26, 1926, at Greencastle, Ind.
She and Dwight Weaver were married Feb. 23, 1951, at Marion. He died Aug. 19, 1999.
She was a homemaker. She, also, worked as a certified nurse�s aide at the then Beverly Enterprise nursing facility in Cottonwood Falls. She had to retire due to her health.
She was a charter member of the KFDI Country Radio Club and the first person to call when the radio station came on the air in 1964. The eulogy was to be given by disc jockey Johnny Western, but he had a scheduling conflict and could not attend the service. The eulogy was instead given by her granddaughter, Valeria Weaver. She was a member of the Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Roger L. Weaver of Cottonwood Falls and Steven C. Weaver of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Roberta L. Souders of Wheeling, Mo.; a step-son, DeWayne D. Weaver ofArizona; a sister, Katherine Simmerman of Greencastle, Ind.; a half-brother, Arthur Synder of Brazil, Ind.; six grandchildren; and one step-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by two step-daughters, JoAnn Archer and Carolyn Thornton; three sisters, Annie Hunter, Ellie Bixler and Ruth Addy; and two brothers, Ralphie Bixler and Robert Bixler.
The graveside service was Saturday, March 15, in Prairie Grove Cemetery, rural Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Rick Smith conducted the service. Memorial contributions to the H. Dale Buck Animal Welfare Memorial Fund, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
