Weidert, Glen E

Glen E. Weidert, 77, of Erie, the father of Mke Weidert of Emporia, died June 9, 2002 at the Labette County Medical Center in Parsons. The funeral was June 12, 2002, at the Erie Federated Church; the Rev. Ralph Jarboe officiated. Burial was in East Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Weidert was born June 24, 1924, on the family farm near Galesburg. On Dec 15, 1946 he married R Jeanne Huckstep at Thayer. She died Sep 4, 1998. From 1947 to 1972, he worked at the Neosho Valley Co-op Creamery. In 1972. he was a founding partner of Glen and Dean's Truck service, from which he retired in 1994.

Mr Weidert's other survivors include a grandchild, Chris Weidert of Emporia. Memorials in his name are suggested to the Erie Federated Church and can be sent in care of Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 303 N Grant, Erie, Ks, 66733.
