Wight, Albert E Albert E. Wight, 89, of Burlingame died June 19, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. Mr. Wight, a farmer and stockman, lived his entire life within the same square mile in which he was born.
Albert E. Wight, the son of Elias and Minnie Morganroth Wight, was born March 30, 1913, at Burlingame. He attended Superior District No 2 Rural School and graduated from Burlingame High School in 1931. He married Marian Nichols on April 25, 1945, at Osage City.,
Mr. Wight was a member of the Burlingame Federated Church. He served on the Burlingame Co-op board and was president when the elevator was constructed. He also was a member of the Kansas Livestock Association and a former member of the Burlingame Lions Club. He played bridge for more than 50 years with a neighborhood bridge club.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Jim Wight of Matfield Green; a daughter, Sara Evans of Lebo; five grandchildren and a great-grandson. The funeral was June 21, 2002, in the Burlingame Federated Church. Burial was in Burlingame Cemetery.
