Wilhite, Beryl I Stout

The memorial service for Beryl I Wilhite, 80, formerly of 2307 DeLane Drive, and a resident of Emporia Presbyterian Manor was Friday in the Roberts-Blue-Barrett Funeral Home Chapel. Michael Turnbull, a friend of the family conducted the service. Inurnment was in Greenwood Cemetery, south of Emporia.

Memorial contributions to theSOS Child Visitation and Exchange Center may be sent to the funeral home. Mrs Wilhite, who died Dec., 21, 2001 at the manor was a beauty operator for 25 years before she retired in 1978.

Beryl I Stout, the daughter of Glen E and Elizabeth G Suddock Stout, was born Nov 17, 1921, in Lyon County. She married Verl G Wilhite on July 04, 1940 at Cottonwood Falls. He died May 26, 1996. Mrs Wilhite was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon J Allemang, Emporia; a son, Robert E Wilhite, Emporia; two sisters Betty Tipton of Arlington, Texas and Eloise Talbird of West Monroe, La; four grandchildren, Clark Allemang II of Emporia and Todd Wilhite, Scott Wilhite, and Brad Wilhite, all of California and give great grandchildren.

Three brothers, Harry Stout, Lawrence Stout and Frank Stout; and two sisters Nadean Haren and Norma Sloan, died earlier.
