Wilson, Emma Huntly
DEATH OF MRS A Z WILSON
Emma Huntly was born at Delaward, Ohio, Apr 08, 1864, and when a small girl moved to Kansas.
She was married to A Z Wilson in 1881 at Madison, Kansas, and to this union were born nine children, eight boys and one girl. Five of the boys dying when small.
Mrs Wilson had been failing in health for some time and death ocurred at the Axtell Hospital, April 19, 1919 and was due to Brights disease.
The funeral service was held at the Wilson home in Newton, Sunday afternoon, Apr 20th and the body was brought to this city, April 21st and laid to rest in Prairie Grove cemetery beside two of her little sons.
Services at the grave were conducted by Rev. K S. Bennett of the Church of Christ, with which church Mrs. Wilson united several years ago. The beautiful floral offerings showed the love and respect of the friends and neighbors at Newton.
The family lived here for a number of years moving to Newton about six years ago. Mrs. Wilson has a large circle of friends here and at Newton, whose hearts are made heavy at the passing of a true and loving friend.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death, three sons, A.D.; Leonard and Emitt Wilson and one daughter, Mrs. Priscilla George, two brothers and two grandchildren.
