Wood, Elwin Baby Son
DEATH OF ELWIN WOOD BABY
The little son of Mr. And Mrs. Elwin Wood of Emporia; died suddenly at the Wood home at 724 West Ninth 5treet Wednesday, December 19th. The child who was about twenty-two months old suffered a seige of influenza about two weeks ago but had apparently entirely recovered from this malay. Early Wendesday morning the baby became ill and convulsions quickly folkowed. Death came about 5:00 o'clock that afternoon.
The funeral services were held at the Christian Chnrch in Elmdale at 2:30 o'clock Friday, afternoon, Rev. Salt preached the sermon after which interment was made in the Elmdale cemetery.
The Wood family had move from Elmdale to Emporia about six months ago. Before leaving Elmdale, Mr. Wood had operated a grocery store there. He is now a car salesman for the Gamble Motor Company of Emporia.
Mr. Wood is the son of Walter Wood, of Elmdale and Mrs. Wood is a sister of Mrs. Kipling Wells, of Elmdale. The bereaved parents havethe sympathy of the entire community in the sad and sudden death of their little son.
