Dearie had been sick for something over a week with typhoid malaria, but few who knew of her sickness supposed it dangerous and her death, which occurred last Saturday evening, was a painful surprise.
She was a good, kind=-hearted girl and was loved by many friends. Her loss will fall heavily upon her family, having been the pet baby of older brothers and sister, and the companion of her mother.
She was fourteen years and five days old at the time of her death, which occurred last Saturday evening, between nine and ten o'clock. She was buried on Monday.
