Wright, Jasper T.
J. T. Wright, well know farmer of the Toledo vicinity, died at his home about 4 oclock Monday afternoon, July 25, as the result of a paralytic stroke he suffered a few hours before.
Mr. Wright, who was 73 years of age had been in failing health for several years. About five years ago he suffered a paralytic stroke from which he never fully recovered.
The funeral services will be held at 10 oclock Thursday morning at the Methodist church at Saffordville, Reverend Pratt, Methodist pastor, preaching the sermon. Interment will then be made in be Toledo cemetery.
The Wright family moved to Chase County about 25 years ago and Mr. Wright had been engaged in farming and the livestock business until advancing age and failing health had made it necessary for him to discontinue active work.
He is survived by his widow and 11 children. Mrs. Wrights maiden name was Mary Jontra.

Jasper T. Wright was in Indiana, September 4, 1859, and departed this life July 25, 1932 at the age of 73 years, ten months, 21 days.
He was the son of John and Matilda Wright. In 1869 he moved to Missouri and eight years later to Kansas at the age of 18 years.
He was married to Mary Ann Jontra March 17, 1881 at Tarkio, Mo. To this union three daughters and nine sons were born. One son died in infancy. In 1883 they moved to Kansas in a covered wagon. They moved from Corning to the home place on March 17, 1908.
Mr. Wright had been in poor health for over five years. Mr. and Mrs. Wright celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on March 17, 1931.
Mr. Wright was a devoted husband and father. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, Mary Ann, Lewis Wright, of Broken Bow, Neb., John Wright, of Chaney, Okla., Jess Wright of Havensville, LeRoy Wright, Chester Wright, Leo Wright, Mrs. Jesse Baker, of Emporia, Mrs. George Hess, of Topeka, Mrs. Lloyd Swenson, of Americus, Alford Wright and William Wright, of Saffordville. Two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Wills, of Marysville, and Mrs. Emma Dennis, of California, 25 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held Thursday morning at the Saffordville church and interment was in Hillsside cemetery. The Rev. J. A. Pratt, of Saffordville, conducted the services and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Crook, Fred Jones, and Mrs. Clara Bulthius sang, accompanied by Miss Julia ImMasche. Pall bearers were Homer Macy, George Hanson, Fred Swenson, John Petford, Grover Hanson, and Fred Jones.
