Here is a photo of children taken in Dexter at K Littleton's Art Gallery. Think it was probably late 1800's or early 1900's. They are descendants of Sarah Ann Pearcy Sawyer and her daugher illie ariah Sawyer Newan. illie was arried to Alney Green Newan and they lived in Arkansas City. They were y GGGrandparents. any of the Newans and their failies lived there including Alney's brother and children: Cyrus Dudley Newan. No names
are on the picture. The Sawyers lived most
ly in Butler County, but Sarah did live with illie in Cowley. I a descended for Alney and illie to their daughter Anna Garret Newan who arried Eugene Caeron Tanquary. Their daughter, adge . Tanquary arried Walter Reed. Granda adge died in August 2001 at 104 years of age. I was given any of her pictures which she inherited fro her grandother illie and great grandother Sarah. Thank You

I have a very old Stup family
albu (probably 1880's) which includes 3 pictures of a beautiful young woan taken by a photographer by the nae of Dresser, Winfield, Kansas. most
of the photos are unidentified. As some
of y husband's family
went to Kansas I wonder if some
body might
be able to identify her. some
of the Stup family
left Zanesville, Ohio (uskingha County) and went West to Jefferson City, o. and Salida, Colorado as well. I noticed on the web that there were Stups in Winfield. Thank you for any inforation. Barbara Chaney |
