I am looking for Fowlers in Kansas in the middle to late 1800's. Not sure which county they settled in. Robert W. Fowler had brothers: Charles, Ezra, George, and one sister, Mamie. Their father's name may have been Ezra L. Fowler.
Do you know the names of Lucinda's children?
I had heard within the family that Crawford County was the county they lived in. By 1903, the brothers and their father were in Grant County, Oklahoma.
Hope to hear from you, darline@wans.net

I am desperately seeking any information for my genealogical research on Bertha Racy. I know only her birth year (1894) and her marriage to George Horn on April 16, 1912 in Cherokee County, Kansas. They later moved to California. However, I have reason to believe that she was born or grew up or resided in the city of Cherokee (Crawford County), Kansas.
Questions I would love to have answered include: What was Bertha Racy's mother's maiden name? What was her father's given name? Did Bertha Racy have any siblings? If so, who were/are they? Was Bertha born in the city of Cherokee?
I would be so grateful for any information. I fear my family tree may remain forever lopsided unless I can gain appropriate information on the Racy family. If you can help, please use the following e-mail address: InguzCL@cs.com

I am looking for information regarding Flora Allen Wilson, who was born in Montana in 1869. She and her family moved to Crawford County in about 1882-84. Her parents were Eli Allen, born 1839 in New York and Julia Poole Allen, born in 1843 in Delaware County, Ohio. Her siblings were Howard Elwyn Allen, born in 1866 in Montana, Orville, born in 1868, Alice, born in 1869, and Arthur, born in 1877, all born in Montana. The Allens lived in Crawford County until about 1900, when the parents and the three older children moved west with their families, eventually settling in Idaho. Howard married Emma Wolfe of Crawford County and they had 3 children of Crawford County before moving. Orville married Ella Ross of Crawford County. Alice married Wallace Baker before they moved to Idaho. Flora must have been married to ? Wilson before her family left. Arthur Allen also did not go west with the Allen group. Family stories say that Flora and Arthur both ended up in Missouri. Flora had 3 children, we believe: Stanley Wilson, Winnie Wilson, and Arthur Wilson. If she were married in 1885-1895, perhaps the Wilsons lived in Crawford County for a period of years, or maybe forever. Nobody remembers Arthur ever marrying. I would like to find records of Flora and Arthur. Here in Idaho we have the information on everybody who moved west. I'd appreciate any help and would even be willing to look up Idaho information, in gratitude.

FREAR, FRIAR / HACKLER / NAUMAN / JOHNSTON / HORSLEY: My great grandmother, Elsie May FREAR was born 10/4/1895 in Walnut, Crawford County, KS: daughter of Fred Nauman FREAR and Nora Lee HACKLER. Her grandparents, Andrew Bucannan FRIAR and Elizabeth NAUMAN Friar, settled in the Walnut area in about 1869 or '70, having come from Oak Ridge, New York. Elsie's sister, Emma Geneiva Frear JOHNSTON (b. 10/28/1898) lived her entire life in Walnut.
The FREAR's lived on a farm that bordered on the HORSLEY farm, and the family's shared this cemetery. I visited it once many years ago and discovered Andrew Bucannan FRIAR's stone among the trees and brambles. My great grandmother had told me that the Horsley family ran the stage stop at Walnut, and that they (someone in the family) murdered travellers and buried their bodies in the HORSLEY/FRIAR Cemetery. I would like to know if this story is based in fact or if it was just a little girl's over-active imagination. So please, if you know anything about the Horsley's or have any connection or interest in my family lines, please contact me.

Would like to share information with anyone interested in the FENOGLIO, VERETTO, GADDO, REANO, PERONA, BUFFO, BERTA and other northern Italians from the Turino province of the Piedmonte region. Many came to the Will and Grundy Co IL coalfields in the late 1870s and early 1880s. When the mines closed, many came to work in the coalfields of Osage Co KS and lived there in the 1890s and early 1900s. Many then moved to the mines of Pittsburg and Coal Co OK. My ancestors then moved to Montague Co TX and became farmers. These families intermarried and traveled together from place to place. I have a database on each surname and am trying to link the name together by kinship.
