Anna Stimbert
Anna Stimbert, daughter of Paul and Theresia Haas, was born Feb, 26, 1889
near Traer, Kan. She died at the Decatur County Hospital, April 19, 1975 at
the age of 86 years, 1 month and 24 days.She attended school at Traer. She
was married Nov 6, 1907 to John Stimbert and to this union were born Helen,
Lorna, Melvin, Lavina and Royce. She lived her entire life in Decatur County
and was a member of the Oberlin United Methodist Church. She was preceded in
death by her husband on June 23, 1956 and by her son Melvin, Dec 7, 1968.
Survivors unclude her daughters, Mrs. Jay Newberry, Oberlin, Mrs. Merle
Bishop, Dresden; Mrs. Eldon Hayward, Lovelin and a son, Royce, St. Francis;
11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren;
two brothers, Mike Haas, Overlin and George Haas, Amarillo, Tex.
Out of town relatives attending Mrs. Stimbert's funeral were; Mr. and Mrs
Royce Stimbert, Troy and Mary, St. Francis; Mr. and Mrs. Tim Stimbert,
Goodland; Mrs. Ray Billings [Lois F. Miller, previously married to Melvin
Stimbert] , Ronald Stimbert and Kevin Gobbo, Grand Junction, Colo.; Mrs.
Robert Fhuere and Janiel, Ouray, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. George Haas, Darrel and
Delmer, Amarillo, Tex.; and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Fore, Grand Island, Neb.
