MRS. WESTFALL DIES
Hazel Ruby Morton, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. H. S. Morton was born near Kanona, Kans. April 17, 1890. Hazel
grew to young womanhood in Decatur County attending and teaching
school here. In Burlington, Colo., on October 1, 1910 she was
united in marriage to Floyd Westfall at which time they moved to Hale,
Colo. While living there she gave her heart to God and united
with the M. E. Church of that place. In the fall of 1914
Mr. and Mrs. Westfall adopted two sons, Charles and Henry, who have
grown to young manhood under her care.
She died at her home in north Oberlin, December 29, 1930, age 40
years, 8 months and 12 days. She leaves to mourn her untimely
death: her husband, two sons, her mother, Mrs. H. S. Morton; two
sisters Mrs. George Ropert and Mrs. C. E. Glodd; and one brother, Neal
Morton. Her father died October 15, 1928.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the M. E. Church in
Kanona with Rev. Oscar Brown of Hoxie in charge. Burial in the
Kanona Cemetery.
