MRS. J. FORSDICK (HULDAH
ELIZA MUNGER FORSDICK)
OBERLIN HERALD AUGUST 16, 1923 Mrs.
Huldah E. Forsdick died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Eliza McDowell in this
city Tuesday afternoon, August 7. She leaves many friends who remember
her for her cheerfulness and kindness to all.
Hulda E. Munger was born November 15,
1862 at Palmyra, Wisconsin. From Palmyra the Munger family moved to
Fairbury, Nebraska in 1878 at which place Hulda graduated from high school.
She taught several successfu terms of country school and was united in
marriage with John S. Forsdick March 30, 1895 at Fairbury. From Fairbury
Mr. and Mrs. Forsdick moved to Denver where they lived until 1909, when they
moved to Oberlin.
Hulda E. Forsdick united with the
Baptist church when she was 17 years old and was a faithful christian up to
the last. In 1909 she changed her membership to the Presbyterian church.
She leaves a mother, Mrs. Eliza McDowell, of Oberlin and a brother of
Colville, Washington.
Funeral services were held at the
Presbyterian church Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with Rev. J. E. Elder of
the Federated church in charge, the Presbyterian church pastor being in Ohio
on his vacation. Burial in the Oberlin Cemetery."
