John Ivan Moler
John Ivan Moler, son of Phillip Park and Jane Moler was born on July 16,
1900, in Decatur County, Kansas, near Norcatur, which has always been
his home. For some years his health had not been good, and in recent
months he had failed rapidly. All that skilled medical treatment and
loving care could do was done, but to no avail, and he passed away at
Oberlin on June 12, 1947.
On April 9, 1930 he was married to Lela Frase at Smith Center, Kansas.
To this union were born two sons, Merl and Max, and one daughter, Norma,
all of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents and two
brothers, Albert and Joseph. Mr. Moler has always farmed and loved that
type of work. He was attentive to duties as long as strength was given
him. He was of quiet unassuming disposition, a kind and considerate
father and husband, and well liked by his neighbors and friends.
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Mrs. Lela Moler; the three
children, Merl, Max and Norma; four sisters, Mrs. S. W. Hessenflow,
Norcatur; Mrs. L. C.Cathcart of Canon City, Colo., Mrs. Fred Ehler,
Dresden and Mrs. Lavoy Chambers of
Vallejo, Calif.; three brothers, George Moler, Arvada, Colo.; Lawrence
Moler of Littleton, Colo. and Clyde Moler of Denver, Colo.; other
relatives and a host of friends.
