Joseph Edgar Moler

Joseph Edgar Moler, son of Park and Jane Moler, was born in Decatur
County, Kansas on July 12, 1894, and passed away at his home six miles
northwest of Norcatur, on Feb. 22, 1939, at age 44 years, 7 months and
10 days.

He was united in marriage to Minnie Marie Harmon of Oberlin, Kansas,
November 17, 1915.

Although no children came to bless their home, he enjoyed the presence
of other children, and his greatest desire was to entertain them and do
something to bring happiness to them.

Joe was never too busy to help some neighbor or friend and was always
the first one to reach the bedside of a sick friend or relative.

He was happy, unselfish and thoughtful, and will not only be missed in
the home, but by his many relatives as well.  The brief span of life was
all too short but well spent.  We must remember that we live not in
years, but in deeds of loving service.

Besides his loving wife to mourn his untimely death are eight brothers
and sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

The brothers and sisters are:  Mrs. S. W. Hessenflow, Norcatur, Kansas;
Mrs. L. C. Cathcart, Canon City. Colorado; Mrs. Fred Ehler, Dresden,
Kansas; Clyde Moler, Norton, Kansas; John Moler, Norcatur, Kansas;
George Moler, Oberlin, Kansas;Mrs. Lavoy Chambers, Norcatur, Kansas;
Lawrence Moler, Littleton, Colorado.

He has been preceded in death by his father, mother and one brother,
Albert, who passed away just eleven months and one day before Joe's
death.

Funeral services were held from the community M. E. Church, Norcatur,
Feb. 24 with the pastor, Rev. N. H. Giesler and O. G. Brown, Lebanon,
Kansas, conducting.  Burial was made in the Norcatur cemetery with the
McClure Morticians in charge.
