From the Oberlin Herald, September 12, 1907
LOVINA MORTON WARNER was born at Wilkesville,
OH. Aug 10, 1850, died at her home in Olive Township September 8, 1907.
She was married to Dexter Warner Feb. 14, 1879, moved to Decatur Co. KS in
1885, settled on a preemption adjoining the farm where she died.
After they proved up on the preemption they traded it for a quarter
adjoining upon which Mr. W. Warner put his homestead papers and from that
time on they both labored diligently and year by year found themselves
gradually getting in better circumstances. Mrs. Warner was a woman
of great energy and was an excellent manager and a goodly portion of the
expense of the household arranged for by her produce. She was a kind
neighbor and the community all testify to her noble qualities. The
bereaved husband has the sympathy of a large acquaintance who are sorry
for him in this great loss.
