OREN JOHNSTON

OREN JOHNSTON, 67, died Sunday, September 16,
1962, in the Veterans' Hospital, Denver, Colorado, just a week after
having major surgery there. He had been in the hospital since August 22.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday
in the Corcoran-Ready Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Davis, pastor of the
Methodist church at Jennings officiating. Burial was in the Oberlin
Cemetery.
Johnston, who had lived here all his life, is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Donald Harris, Oberlin, and Mrs. Neil Keenan, Jennings; Blanche Braton, Kansas
City, Missouri, a step-daughter; Mrs. Anna Hill and Mrs. Josephine Bosler,
sisters, Oberlin; two brothers, Marvin, Cope, Co., and Millard of Kansas City,
Missouri; and seven grandchildren.
